Masters Degree for Distant Learners

The University of Philosophical Research
Linking Modern Scholarship with Ancient Philosophy
Our Story
UPR was founded upon the core principle of the continuing significance of ancient philosophy. The University is the fulfillment of Manly P. Hall's dream of creating a modern wisdom school.
Manly P. Hall was a philosopher who honored the wisdom of all cultures. He founded the Philosophical Research Society in 1933. And, he authored over 200 books.
Assembling one of the finest existing libraries of idealist philosophy, Manly Hall collected over 30,000 volumes that today reside at the UPR in Los Angeles.
The UPR mission is to cross the conceptual bridge between science and spirituality.
In a world where students yearn for new syntheses of ancient wisdom with modern knowledge, where students seek understanding that reflects their own sense of inner wholeness, and where most graduate programs ignore the deep realities of soul and psyche -- UPR is a distant learning program with a world-class faculty, offering masters degrees in consciousness studies and in transformational psychology.
Our faculty includes medical doctors, philosophers, physicists, psychologists, and business consultants.
We attract students who are successful professionals, business people, leaders in their fields, and people who are simply young and brilliant.
