Princess Elizabeth in the Tower with Rainbow YinYang

Posted on Jun 18th, 2006 by Jeff Mishlove : Transformer Jeff Mishlove

Elizabeth's predecessor and her half sister, Queen Mary, had Elizabeth imprisoned in the Tower of London in 1554. Mary was a Catholic. Elizabeth was not. Other jealousies existed between the two sisters. It was a boody age and Elizabeth had good reason to imagine that she would not return alive from the Tower. Nevertheless, four years later, she ascended to the throne of England -- and is remembered today as among the greatests of all monarchs in any age or country.

Here, the Rainbow YinYang, reflects the fullness, integrity, beauty and balance in the soul of this young woman, who -- within a few years -- would become monarch.

This image was created from a nineteenth century steel engraving. It is approximately 36" x 24". All Rainbow YinYang images are copyrighted by Jeffrey Mishlove.
