My Mom, the Yogini

In less than half an hour, I'll be heading off to McCarren Airport in Las Vegas to meet my Mom, Rose Mishlove, who will be coming here for an extended visit. The picture above, shows the two of us back in 1947. She was 26 years old then -- and I was about 1. At that time, neither of us knew much about yoga.
Today, almost 60 years later, she is still teaching yoga. In fact, she taught a class this morning, before catching her airplane from Milwaukee. Here is a link to a recent newspaper article about her work as a yoga teacher.
